Fairfield rises from 58 to 43 in the nation on the distinguished annual list, making it the highest ranked business school in Connecticut.

Fairfield University's Charles F. Dolan School of Business is among the best undergraduate business schools in the United States and the best in Connecticut, according to Bloomberg Businessweek . Moreover, the Jesuit school jumped an impressive 15 places on the much-anticipated list Bloomberg Businessweek compiles annually. Fairfield ranks the highest of all Connecticut schools included in the list.

Donald E. Gibson, PhD, dean of the Dolan School of Business, noted that on the key survey metrics of student and employer feedback, the School has seen strong results. "The Bloomberg ranking really captures areas that are critical to business schools: what students think of their faculty and school, what employers think about the quality of our graduates, their starting salaries, and the number of internships students have. It’s great to see the Dolan School being recognized on these critical metrics,” he said.

In order to compile the ranking, the publication considered feedback from “recruiters who hire recent business graduates on how well schools prepared students for jobs at their companies,” students’ ratings of the campus, faculty, and administrators, the base compensation of students who had post-graduation positions lined up, and “the percentage of a school’s graduates who had a least one internship at any time during college.” Bloomberg surveyed nearly 30,000 students and recruiters at almost 600 companies to gather the data.
