Fairfield University professor to conduct workshop with local field training officers

WHO: Paul Maloney, program director for Fairfield University’s Applied Psychology Program in the Graduate School of Education and Allied Professions, and 12 field training officers from the Town of Fairfield Police Department

WHAT: Leadership Styles, a training program tailored specifically to police officers

WHERE: Alumni House, Fairfield University, 1073 N. Benson Rd., Fairfield, CT

WHEN: Thursday, January 22, 2015, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

DETAILS: Today’s leaders function in a dynamic and ever-changing environment. The focus of this timely program is on helping participants develop the leadership skills to deal effectively with changing situations using different styles. Officers will apply the concepts, principles and models through discussion, case studies and role play. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to assess their own leadership style and receive feedback from their peers and the instructor.

Paul Maloney, Ph.D., has held senior management and development positions at NBC, Mobil Oil Corporation and PepsiCo International, and has consulted worldwide for American Airlines, ARAMCO, GE, Schering-Plough, Kodak, Chrysler Capital, Artisan Software, Covidien and many other organizations. He served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy and earned his doctorate at the University of Virginia.
