Jorge Torres and Maria Blanco are recognized by many aficionados as the greatest Argentine Tango partners in the world. Torres, who dances with a quiet and smooth style occupied the Captain of Dancers role in Broadway’s “Forever Tango” for which he was nominated for a Tony Award. New York Times Chief Dance Critic Alastair Macaulay recently called Blanco “among the world’s loveliest dancers in both physique and style.”
Israel’s powerful Latin team of Tal Livshitz and Ilana Keselman will be among the cast of superstar performers. In their first competition in America they won the bronze medal at the United States National Championship and finished ninth out of 425 couples in the world’s most prestigious event at Blackpool, England. “The chemistry in their dancing is undeniable.” (Dance Beat)
