Details: Vernona Gomez bounced on Babe Ruth's knee, made sandcastles with Joe DiMaggio and, as she was growing up, was a tag-along with her parents at All-Star and Old Timers' games, the World Series, spring trainings and Cooperstown induction weekends. A concert pianist, she made her debut at Carnegie Hall at the age of eight. She will give a rare glimpse into the lives of her iconic parents and early 20th-century America. Coffee, tea and cookies will be served. This event, part of the University's Learning for a Lifetime series, is free and open to the public.
