Fairfield University co-hosts breakfast ethics discussion on April 23, next in series on "The Ethics of Entrepreneurship" | Press Releases

Image: D Schmidt Fairfield University's Program in Applied Ethics and The Rotary Club of Fairfield will present "Ethical Issues Facing Entrepreneurs," the next in their series of breakfast ethics discussions open to the entire town community, on Wednesday, April 23, at Fairfield University Bookstore, 1499 Post Road, Fairfield. The bookstore opens at 7:15 a.m. and the free, public program will run from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m.

Leaders from the community and the University meet to share their thoughts on topical issues at the popular breakfasts. "The Ethics of Entrepreneurship" is the theme for this academic year. This topic links with the recent opening of FAME: The Fairfield University Accelerator and Mentoring Enterprise. FAME supports local innovation and economic development through the combined resources of Fairfield University, the Town of Fairfield, and the local business community.

The April 23 breakfast will be an opportunity to discuss problems that can arise for the growing entrepreneurial segment of our community. Issues to be discussed may include truth in fundraising, intellectual property, partner relationships in startups and consumer protection.

David Schmidt, Ph.D., director of Fairfield University's Program in Applied Ethics, will facilitate the discussion. Joining him will be Chris Huntley, Ph.D., faculty member of the Charles F. Dolan School of Business at Fairfield University, and Mike Roer, president of the Entrepreneurship Foundation and author of "Entrepreneurship." A light breakfast will be served.
