Image: Dershowitz and Toobin At 8 p.m. on Monday, November 4, 2013 , Fairfield University presents an exclusive live broadcast in the Quick Center for the Arts' Wien Experimental Theatre , from New York City's 92nd Street Y with attorney and author Alan Dershowitz interviewed by author, CNN analyst, and The New Yorker staff writer Jeffrey Toobin . The program, "My Life in Law," continues Fairfield University's Open VISIONS Forum-Espresso partnership with 92nd Street Y, New York's premier cultural institution and community center. Tickets are $12.

The program also includes a pre-lecture and post-event discussion , both originating from the Quick Center. At 7:30 p.m ., Connecticut attorney Alan Neigher presents the lecture "Highlights of Alan Dershowitz's Legal Career." Mr. Neigher also joins a post-broadcast discussion with Philip Eliasoph, Ph.D ., professor of art history and OVF founder/director, and Debra Strauss, J.D., associate professor of business law. "I am looking forward to an interesting evening of dialogue about Dershowitz's career and impact on the legal community," said Dr. Strauss.

America's most prominent legal mind and the #1 bestselling author of Chutzpah and The Best Defense , Alan Dershowitz recounts his legal autobiography, describing how he came to the law, as well as the cases that have changed American jurisprudence over the past 50 years, most of which he has personally been involved in. In his newly published book, Taking the Stand , Dershowitz reveals the evolution of his own thinking on such fundamental issues as censorship and the First Amendment, Civil Rights, Abortion, homicide and the increasing role that science plays in a legal defense. Professor Alan M. Dershowitz is a Brooklyn native who has been called "the nation's most peripatetic civil liberties lawyer" and one of its "most distinguished defenders of individual rights," "the best-known criminal lawyer in the world," "the top lawyer of last resort," "America's most public Jewish defender" and "Israel's single most visible defender - the Jewish state's lead attorney in the court of public opinion." Dershowitz, a graduate of Brooklyn College and Yale Law School, joined the Harvard Law School faculty at age 25 after clerking for Judge David Bazelon and Justice Arthur Goldberg.
