Fairfield University's Program in Applied Ethics and The Rotary Club of Fairfield will present a series of free breakfast ethics discussions open to the entire town community beginning Wednesday, November 20. Leaders from the community and the University will share their thoughts on topical issues at the breakfasts, which will be held at Fairfield University Bookstore, 1499 Post Road.

"The Ethics of Entrepreneurship" is the theme for this academic year. This topic links with the recent opening of FAME: The Fairfield University Accelerator and Mentoring Enterprise. FAME supports local innovation and economic development through the combined resources of Fairfield University, the Town of Fairfield, and the local business community. FAME provides a shared work environment where entrepreneurs and early-stage startups can gather, collaborate, innovate, and access a broad base of investors, customers, and partnering organizations.

The first breakfast, on November 20, addresses "The Creation of FAME: Values and Opportunities." Speaking at this event will be the leaders of the three institutions that collaborated in FAME's creation: Don Gibson, dean of the Dolan School of Business at Fairfield University; Ken Kleban, owner, Kleban Properties; and Fairfield First Selectman Michael Tetreau. They will share their respective perspectives on the values of FAME's mission and the opportunities for FAME to contribute to Fairfield County's economic development.

Fairfield University Bookstore will open at 7:15 a.m., and the program will run from 7:30 to 8:45. A light breakfast will be served.

Following the formal program, at 8:45 a.m., there will be an opportunity to tour the FAME facility, which is adjacent to the University Bookstore.
