Fairfield University's Bennett Center for Judaic Studies announces fall season

Fairfield University's Carl and Dorothy Bennett Center for Judaic Studies has announced its fall 2013 season of public events.

The exciting and diverse schedule includes a Daniel Pearl World Music Day Concert with multi-instrumentalist Alicia Jo Rabins, and a theatrical performance by the award-winning Spanish playwright Juan Mayorga. Damien Echols, one of the "West Memphis Three" who served nearly 19 years on Death Row, and Rabbi Eric Yoffie, the past president of the Union of Reform Judaism, are among the compelling speakers.

The events speak to the Bennett Center's mission to enrich the intellectual, cultural, and spiritual life of the campus and greater community. It is directed by Ellen M. Umansky, Ph.D., who has served as both the Carl and Dorothy Bennett Professor of Judaic Studies at Fairfield and the director of the Bennett Center since its inception in 1994.
