Image: The Frog Prince As the curtain rises this summer on the Missoula Children's Theatre Summer Camps 2012 season, children in grades 1-12 will be taking center stage at Fairfield University's Quick Center for the Arts for a series of weekly productions being offered from July through mid-August. Celebrating its twenty-third season at the Quick Center, the Missoula Children's Theatre is the preeminent children's theatre company from Missoula, Montana, that tours the country and serves 300 communities annually. At the Quick Center this summer, this renowned children's summer theatre program will be offering six individual weekly sessions beginning July 9, 2012, and continuing through August 13, 2012. At the end of each weekly session, on Friday evening, all children in camp will appear in a final performance that is presented on the Quick Center's stage. A total of 60 children can register for each weekly session.

Missoula Children's Theatre Camp 2012 Schedule is as follows:

Session A: Monday, July 9 - Friday, July 13, Blackbeard the Pirate
Session B: Monday, July 16 - Friday, July 20, Jack and the Beanstalk
Session C: Monday, July 23 - Friday, July 27, Hansel and Gretel
Session D: Monday, July 30 - Friday, August 3, The Frog Prince
Session E: Monday, August 6 - Friday, August 10, Blackbeard the Pirate
Session F: Monday, August 13 - Friday, August 17, The Pied Piper

Image: Blackbeard Weekly tuition fees are: $275 for the first child, $250 for any additional children in the same family. Full tuition is due at time of registration. Tuition includes: full week of classes and workshops and Quick Center t-shirt. Enrollment is open to children in grades 1-12. Children must be at least 6 years old by July 1, 2012, and be entering first grade in the fall. During each weeklong residency, led by two Missoula Children's Theatre Tour Actor/Directors, the children are cast in roles, learn lines and choreography, and rehearse together, leading up to the final performance at week's end as an ensemble in a full-scale production. A variety of roles are offered, with middle and high school students encouraged to audition for leading roles. No advance preparation is required, and children should wear sneakers and comfortable clothes each day.Also included in the residency are three enrichment workshops presented by the Tour Actor/Directors. Creativity, social skills, goal achievement, communication skills and self-esteem are all characteristics that are attained through the participation in this unique, educational project. Missoula Children's Theatre' s mission is the development of life skills in children through participation in the performing arts .

Weekly camp hours: Monday - Thursday, 9:45 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (bring a brown bag lunch); Friday, 3 p.m. through 7:30 p.m. evening performance (bring a brown bag dinner). Daily Schedule is as follows: Monday: 9:45 a.m. - 12 noon. General auditions, roles cast; 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Lead roles rehearse, other cast members participate in workshops. Tuesday - Thursday: 9:45 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. 
Two 2-hour rehearsal sessions with 1/2-hour lunch break. Friday
 - 3 p.m. through showtime. Final practice sessions and dress rehearsal with 1/2-hour dinner break. 7:30 p.m. Performance.

Professional DVD recordings of the final performances are available for $35 each, (includes shipping and handling).

By audience request: in order to make sure that we give the children who are performing the necessary attention required while on stage, no children under 2 years old will be allowed to attend Quick Center performances.
