Warren Tuttle, alias the "Housewares Guru," will speak at Fairfield University about turning the "Smart Spin," the "Toss and Turn Pan" and "The Speed Prep Mandolin" into million selling products, on Tuesday, January 31 at 7 p.m., in the Dolan School of Business Dining Room.

In a talk entitled, "IP Licensing and United Inventors Association," Tuttle, founder and chief executive officer of Monashee Marketing in New Canaan, Conn., will give a behind-the-scenes look at some of the most successful kitchen appliances launched in recent years. Fairfield's School of Engineering and the Inventors Association of Connecticut (IACT) are co-sponsoring the free, public event, which aims to bring together students, inventors, marketing professionals, venture capitalists, intellectual property attorneys, and entrepreneurs.

Tuttle, president of the United Inventors Association, is known as the "Housewares Guru," a nod to the array of kitchen appliances he has developed. He helped orchestrate the introduction and success of "Smart Spin," a storage system. With almost 10 million units sold to date, "Smart Spin" continues to be prominently featured at major retailers throughout America. He also helped to initiate the market launch of several other innovative kitchen products, including "MISTO," "The Gourmet Olive Oil Sprayer," and the "Toss and Turn Pan," one of the best-selling cookware fry pans. He has initiated several major new product launchings with Lifetime Brands, a Garden City, N.Y. company, including "The Speed Prep Mandolin," "The Odor Absorbing Splatter Screen," and "The Bagel Pod."
