Second Annual Jail N' Bail for Special Olympics CT at Fairfield University

What: Fairfield University Department of Public Safety will conduct a "Jail N' Bail" Fundraiser for Special Olympics CT

When: Wednesday, April 22, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Where: Quad Side of the John A. Barone Campus Center

Here comes the judge ... Among some of the judges who will be familiar to the public are Fr. Charles Allen, S.J., executive assistant to the President and chaplain of the Fairfield Police Dept.; Joe Frager, Fairfield University Women's Basketball Coach; Jim Fitzpatrick, Assistant VP Student Affairs; Cathy Borgman, director of Career Planning; Dr. Orin Grossman, Academic Vice President and concert pianist and Gershwin expert.

How: For a $5 donation, Students, Faculty and Staff can fill out a "warrant" for someone's arrest. Public Safety "arrests" that person and brings him/her to a "holding cell" outside the Campus Center. A panel of judges determines the amount of the "bail," beginning at $40.

Why: To support our special friends and athletes who will be competing in Special Olympics CT this summer.

Contact: Public Safety Director Todd Pelazza or Sgt. Rob Didato at (203) 254-4090.
