The Fairfield University Chamber Singers and the Mendelssohn Choir of Connecticut directed by Carole Ann Maxwell, D.S.M. join the Distinguished Concert Orchestra International (DCOI) in a performance of Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana" at Carnegie Hall on Saturday, June 14 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $100, $60, $20 and are available through the Distinguished Concert Orchestra International Box Office by calling (212) 707-8566, ext. 307 or online at BoxOffice@DCINY.org .
Dr. Maxwell is the artistic director of the Chamber Singers and the Mendelssohn Choir. Many of the Mendelssohn members are Fairfield University alumni who joined the choir to continue working with Dr. Maxwell. She recently stated that, "the two choirs have been invited to sing 'Carmina Burana' by Distinguished Concerts International. It is an honor to have the opportunity of singing this monumental work at Carnegie Hall. The experience promises to be enriched even more by joining our choirs with a fine choir from Iceland and with the accompaniment of the Distinguished Concerts Orchestra. It will be a very exciting concert."
DCOI is a New York-based company with twenty collective years experience producing concerts.
