Rockapella, the five-man powerhouse a cappella group presents its rousing "Holiday Concert" in a sold-out-return-by-popular-demand-engagement at Fairfield University's Quick Center for the Arts, Friday, Dec. 7 at 8 p.m. Opening for them once again is Close Harmony, a Fairfield Ludlowe High School a cappella co-ed ensemble consisting of 16-18 singers performing under the direction of Kevin Cotellese. In Rockapella's 2006 performance at the Quick Center, the group demonstrated the collective magnetism, precision ensemble singing, and joie de vivre for which they are renowned and ensured their return to Fairfield.

With seemingly little effort and using no more accompaniment than themselves as instruments, the "quintet" performs in perfect synchronization with each other's individual talents and successfully creates a whole even more dynamic than its parts. As a result, Rockapella continues to capture national and international audiences' imagination and devotion.

The group's "Holiday Concert" promises to imbue familiar holiday carols with its unique blend of sound and attitude. It offers a vibrant program that confirms Rockapella's status as the undisputed kings of contemporary a cappella music.
