Theatre professor to lecture on Leonard Bernstein on Broadway at Fairfield University

Dr. Martha LoMonaco, professor of Theatre at Fairfield, will lead the public discussion "Bernstein on Broadway: With a Little Help from His Friends" on Tuesday, April 25, at 12:30 p.m. at the University's Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts.

Part of the Quick Center's ongoing Leonard Bernstein Festival, the one-hour discussion will focus on Bernstein's four Broadway shows - "West Side Story," "Candide," "On the Waterfront" and "Wonderful Town" - each of which marked some of the most exciting collaborations in American musical theatre history. Dr. LoMonaco will consider Bernstein's work with Jerome Robbins, Stephen Sondheim, Betty Comden and Adolph Green, as well as other Broadway luminaries, forging four of the most significant musicals of the 20th century.

Tickets to the lecture are $5. For tickets, call the Quick Center box office at (203) 254-4010 or toll free at 1-877-ARTS-396. For more information, visit www.quickcenter.com.
