"Come Back, Amelia Bedelia" takes the stage at Fairfield University's Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts

Beloved children's book tales and an all-new sing-along are just part of the fun in the new musical revue "Come Back, Amelia Bedelia and Other Stories," on Sunday, Nov. 13, at 1 and 3 p.m. at Fairfield University's Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts. Additional performances on Monday, Nov. 14, at 10 a.m. and noon are part of the Quick Center's ArtsBound Schoolday Series. The ArtsBound performances are sponsored in part by the Greater Bridgeport Area Foundation, The Herman Goldman Foundation and the Harry Chapin Foundation.

Suitable for children in grades K through 4, this fast-paced performance is the newest program by Theatreworks/USA's Story Salad Productions, a highly regarded national children's theater company. It includes musical medleys of popular "little books," including Martha F. Brenner's "Stacks of Trouble," David L. Harrison's "Johnny Appleseed," and Bonnie Worth's "Jumbo: The Most Famous Elephant in the World." Of course, the star of the show is Peggy Parish's beloved and befuddled maid, Amelia Bedelia.

Theatreworks/USA's Story Salad Productions strives to give children a taste for the magic of theater, while reinforcing their love of reading.

"Theatreworks/USA is a children's theatre with a difference - and the difference is its quality," New York Post theater reviewer Clive Barnes wrote of the troupe.

Tickets to the Sunday shows are $12 for adults and $10 for children. The Monday performance is geared to school groups and tickets are $7. For tickets, call (203) 254-4010 or toll free at 1-877-ARTS-396. For more information, visit www.quickcenter.com.
