University College responds to area students and their families whose lives have been disrupted by Hurricane Katrina

Following calls from parents of area students who were planning to enroll in schools affected by Hurricane Katrina, University College at Fairfield University is offering special advising and registration services. Students may choose to register for day or evening classes on Fairfield University's campus or for online classes.

As part of its mission, University College often serves students who change their plans at a late date or who decide not to return to their college or university for a semester or two. "We know this situation is confusing and difficult for some of our local families. We have received calls from parents of local students who attend or planned to attend institutions in New Orleans and would like to take courses in this area this semester," said Edna Farace Wilson, Ed.D., dean of University College. "University College can provide courses and help students in the process of determining which classes they can transfer for credit at their home institutions."
