Yolanda Vasquez Petrocelli to exhibit at Fairfield University's Lukacs Gallery

Image: Yolanda Vasquez Petrocelli Photographs by Yolanda Vasquez Petrocelli will be on display from Tuesday, Feb. 26, through Wednesday, March 21, in Fairfield University's Lukacs Gallery, Loyola Hall, Room 17. The exhibit opens with a reception at 5:30 p.m.; a lecture follows at 6 p.m.

Petrocelli, a native of Mexico, explores the psyche and personalities of womankind in her work by capturing women of various ancient cultures performing their rituals and everyday work. Her craft has become more personal and painterly as she is currently experimenting with mixed media by combining black and white photography with watercolor painting.

The gallery is open Monday through Friday afternoons and most evenings but will be closed during the university's spring recess from Monday, March 4, through Friday, March 8. For specific hours call the gallery at (203) 254-4000, ext. 2476.
