The Connecticut Writing Project at Fairfield University will offer a Young Writer's Institute this summer for students who are entering grades 7-10. The two-week program meets Monday through Friday, July 9-20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Young Writers' Institute is team-taught by exemplary teachers in local schools who are Connecticut Writing Project teacher/consultants. These teachers are committed to providing an exciting, challenging and rewarding learning experience for all participants.
Students who are interested must submit an application and writing sample and classroom teachers will be contacted for a recommendation. Tuition is $425 and scholarships are available.

The Connecticut Writing Project is a professional development program for teachers in K-12 dedicated to improving writing and learning skills in Connecticut schools. A branch of the National Writing Project, the Connecticut Writing Project moved its base of operations to Fairfield University last summer.
