Fairfield Dolan MBA Concentrations Gain STEM Designation

Dolan graduate students meet to discuss coursework.

By adding STEM designations for the MBA concentrations in finance, marketing, and analytics, Fairfield Dolan diversifies the program as a whole.

“A customizable curriculum, cutting edge education, flexible course schedule, highly ranked concentrations, and the ability to utilize the benefits of OPT, make our MBA attractive to international students."

The conclusion of the fall semester marked a significant milestone for the Charles F. Dolan School of Business as the MBA program concentrations of finance, marketing, and analytics received official STEM designation. Having received university-wide approval, this designation ultimately diversifies the program itself to best prepare students for the evolving industry needs of business professionals.

STEM designation creates opportunities for international students at Fairfield Dolan to benefit from a three-year post-graduate U.S. residency window to experience optional practical training (OPT), which differs from the brief one-year visa extension for OPT that is typically offered to students. As stated by associate professor and MBA program director Mousumi Bose Godbole, PhD, STEM designation makes Fairfield Dolan’s MBA program competitive and enriched with benefits for prospective students.

“A customizable curriculum, cutting-edge education, flexible course schedule, highly ranked concentrations, and the ability to utilize the benefits of OPT, make our MBA attractive to international students,” said Dr. Bose Godbole.

The program provides avenues for students to achieve their professional goals through Fairfield Dolan’s alumni network and comprehensive career support. Students can utilize resources such as The Dolan Career Development Center, which provides development services for undergraduate and graduate services to enrich their academic experiences.

Fairfield Dolan offers an online MBA program with the ability to tailor the degree through concentrations. Prospective students can enroll in the program either full-time or part-time.
