For donors who help make a Fairfield experience possible, provide financial aid and scholarships, and invest in faculty and staff advancement, please share a thank you message.
I am incredibly grateful to all of the Fairfield University Athletics supporters. Every interaction I have had with a donor at Fairfield has been fantastic. The donors at Fairfield care deeply about the University and give back with extreme generosity. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the opportunities Fairfield has offered me, which are impossible without the outstanding support of our donors. I deeply appreciate their commitment to Fairfield Athletics!
What was your favorite memory from this past season?
My favorite memory from last season is pretty easy! I will never forget hosting Marist at home, when they were #1 in the MAAC standings, and the game was on ESPNU. Close game the whole way, we battled! Game tied with 1 second left and Deon Perry made a 70ft, full court heave for the win! All of our students stormed the floor and we all were in disbelief at what just happened!
What did you enjoy most about being a member of a Fairfield University Athletics Team?
The people. The teammates I have had through the years at Fairfield have truly become some of my best friends. These are guys that will be a part of my life for forever and bonds we have built will continue to grow. My coaches have been amazing every step of the way and I am so grateful to them. So definitely the people. Fairfield is full of people who showcase what it means to lead and live lives of meaning. I am grateful to have been surrounded by such great people.
My favorite Fairfield memory…
I am going to jump back 2 years to my sophomore year…we went and played at Mount St. Mary’s in the final game of the regular season. We came out flat and we were down 18 at the half. All of halftime, we talked about just chipping away and going one play at a time…we came out ON FIRE and took the lead in 3 minutes! We held on in a thriller for our 20th win of the season which we all wanted so bad for Coach Case. We got the win, drenched Coach in water, and a 5-hour ride home has never felt better!
How my experience at Fairfield University has influenced my life and perspective...
My experience at Fairfield has catapulted my career trajectory. I have been extremely lucky to collect a handful of leadership positions with collegiate athletics and Men’s basketball. I have the pleasure of representing the MAAC on the Division 1 Student-Athlete Advisory Council for the next two years. As the sole representative of the MAAC, it has been an honor to represent my peers in this great league. Additionally, I have the privilege to represent men’s basketball student-athletes as one of three representatives on the NCAA Division 1 Men’s Basketball Oversight Committee. I am honored to have such incredible opportunities to represent my school, sport, and conference at the highest level. I am passionate about college sports, and I hope to eventually work in that career field. The opportunities Fairfield has offered me to get hands-on experience in our own department has prepared me exceptionally for the continued chance to work at the national level.
My career goals/future plans are...
I want to be a collegiate athletic director in my career. I have a passion for leading and hope to amplify the student-athlete experience to go well beyond an individual’s sport, but for student-athletes to be able to grow as men and women for others! I love sports, and believe they are a fantastic vehicle for leadership, love, and service of others.
