At Fairfield Dolan, hands-on, experiential learning opportunities are pivotal to the student experience. Through alumni support, students have had the opportunity to travel to Silicon Valley, visit companies such as Paramount Studios, leverage new technology – and more!
Immersion Trip to Silicon Valley, California:
Madison Governale ’26 and Paige Governale ’27 present their business to Dolan alumni and industry executives as part of the 2025 Silicon Valley Immersion Trip.
Fairfield students traveled to California as part of an immersive Silicon Valley Spring break trip and connected with industry leaders at top companies such as Uber, Meta, Salesforce, Google, KPMG, PDF solutions, and more.
According to MBA candidate Anisa Libuya ’14, as an entrepreneur “you always dream of going to Silicon Valley.” Libuya, who is from Zambia, seeks to bring African innovation to global spaces. He and his fellow travelers gained unparalleled networking opportunities and gathered business insights during the Silicon Valley Immersion (SVI) trip sponsored by the Charles F. Dolan School of Business.
Through the support of Bay area alumni Packy ('90) and Robyn ('91) Kelly , Joseph Bronson ’70, and Stephen Pilch ’83, the third annual Silicon Valley Trip itinerary was filled with visits to top technology companies within the Bay Area hub of tech and innovation.
Paramount Studios Hosts Fairfield Dolan’s Women in Business Club
Women in Business Club members tour CBS Studios as part of a Paramount Studios tour in New York City.
On Wednesday, March 5, Fairfield Dolan’s Women in Business Club traveled to New York City for an action-packed day of learning and networking at Paramount Studios, including a tour of CBS Studios.
The packed schedule kicked off with an engaging panel featuring eight women leaders across operations, finance, marketing, research and insights, and communications. Each speaker shared their career journeys, the challenges they’ve overcome, and insights into the dynamic media and entertainment industry.
The trip was made possible by the coordination of the Dolan Career Development Center and Candice Brancazio ’02, a Fairfield Dolan alumna and senior vice president/CFO of Paramount Media Networks/Showtime & MTV Entertainment Studios.
Pinterest Immersion Presentation:
Students had the opportunity to visit advertising agency, WPP for a Pinterest Immersion presentation in NYC. Chief Media Officer of U.S. Media at VML, Jennifer Kohl ’89, coordinated this event. Kohl is on the Marketing Council for the Dolan School of Business and the Media Council for the College of Arts and Sciences.
The students learned how Pinterest leverages data and machine learning to predict emerging trends before they hit the mainstream, and how brands are capitalizing on these insights to create campaigns. From Dove and McDonald's to Cheetos, Heinz, Domino’s, and Barbie, the students saw how powerful creative strategy can be when it’s backed by intentional, forward-thinking data drawn from an audience of 480 million active users.
Barron’s Partnership Supported by Morgan Stanley
Through the generosity of Kyle F. Siebert ’08 & The Polk Wealth Management Group at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management, Fairfield Dolan students have had the ability to leverage Barron’s MarketWatch platform, which provides real-time stock market data and financial information used by financial professionals, as well as opportunities for experiential learning participating in live webinars with industry experts. For the business students, having the opportunity to have technology such as Barron’s MarketWatch in their toolkit is pivotal to the student experience.
