Come back to campus June 9 - 11, 2023 for your Reunion Weekend! Online registration is now closed, so if you wish to register, please call the Office of Alumni Relations at 203-254-4280 to register over the phone while ticket availability remains.

Please see below for some important reminders about the weekend.

Friday Arrivals

  • If you are attending a reception on campus OR staying in campus housing on Friday night, you must pick up your registration packet and/or housing key in the Aloysius P. Kelley, S.J. Center between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. Housing key pick-up will only be available until 10 p.m. so please be sure to get your key before going to your evening reception.
  • For those attending the kick-off reception at the Dolan School of Business, please note that two drinks are included with your reception ticket and all drink ticket sales after that are CASH ONLY.

Saturday Arrivals

  • Check-in will open at the Kelley Center beginning at 9 a.m. and will continue through 4 p.m. Check-in will close from 4 – 6 p.m. to relocate to our evening location; however, housing key pickup will remain open until 6 p.m. After 6:30 p.m., all guests can check in and pick up their housing keys at Bellarmine Hall.

*For security purposes, all alumni must pick up their own housing keys; keys will not be given to friends. If you have an extenuating circumstance, please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at 203-254-4280 to make arrangements prior to your arrival.

Parking

Guests may park in any available lot as well as the parking garage on campus throughout the weekend, with the exception of the Rafferty Stadium lot and the Bellarmine Hall upper lots on Saturday evening. Please take care to park only in valid parking spots. Note: There is no accessible parking at the Rafferty Stadium lot during the Taste of Fairfield; guests may be dropped off at the entrance to the lot as needed.

If you need accessible parking for the Bellarmine Dinner Dance and have not already communicated this, please notify the Alumni Relations team ASAP at 203-254-4280.

Drink ticket sales at the Bellarmine Dinner Dance are CASH ONLY. We also recommend that you bring cash in case you would like to purchase additional meal vouchers on-site at the Taste of Fairfield. The Class of 1988 Committee invites you to take a walk down memory lane with the band that kicked off Clam Jam 1987! Your 1980s classmates in Split Decision will be performing live for your Friday night gathering, with special guest When I Woke. The Walking Examen
Beginning on the plaza of Egan Chapel, this mile-long prayer and meditation trail was designed to cultivate prayerful discernment and an awareness of God’s presence around us.

The Examen is a contemplative prayer practice made popular by St. Ignatius of Loyola that invites us to see God in our everyday lives. There are five steps to the Walking Examen identified by five large rocks with a plaque. Each step signifies the five movements of the Examen prayer: Thanksgiving, Illumination, Examination, Contrition, and Hope. View the Map.

Fairfield University Art Museum Reception
Hosts Mary Morris '88 and Sam Faillace '88 invite you to join them in the Museum's classroom for an informal gathering where you will learn about Fairfield Arts, a new initiative to unite, celebrate, and elevate the arts on campus and in the community. You will also enjoy a guided tour of In Their Element(s): Women Artists Across Media with Dr. Michelle DiMarzo '07, curator of education and academic engagement.

Music will be provided by John Z - spinning 88.5 with a special set of Hazy Cosmic Jive. Light hors d'oeuvres and libations will be served. This event is open to all classes.

Relax and enjoy a cup of coffee while saying goodbye to your friends and classmates. Return your keys to one of the housing desks located in the residence hall lobbies or on the Barone Campus Center Second Floor to receive a coupon toward our breakfast food trucks – see below. Or if you're in a hurry, take advantage of our express check-out! Key envelopes will be available in your rooms so that you can deposit keys in the Express Check-out boxes located in each housing facility. Please be considerate and return your keys to avoid lock change fees.

As you check out of your room, grab a bite to eat before getting on the road – we'll even give you a coupon to use toward your purchase if you hand in your room key to a staff member in the BCC or in your residence hall!

General Reunion Weekend Information

Registration is now open through the online community. Login is required, using either the username and password you previously created or, for first-time registrants, using your Fairfield ID number to claim your profile and create a username and password. Your ID can be found in the March 1st email announcing the opening of registration or by contacting communityhelp@fairfield.edu. Please plan to register as early as possible, as on-campus housing and the Saturday evening dinner dance may sell out and walk-in/day-of registrations cannot be guaranteed. The deadline for housing registration will be 5 p.m. EDT on Thursday, June 1 and the deadline for online registration for all remaining events will be Noon EDT on Wednesday, June 7.

Reunion 2023 pricing is outlined below, with early bird prices available for select events through 11:59 p.m. EDT on March 22. Please note that there is a $10 registration fee, which is charged per overall registration, not for each person included on the registration. This helps to offset other expenses for Reunion Weekend not covered by the ticket prices below. Every effort has been made to keep ticket prices as affordable as possible, while still providing the type of memorable Reunion Weekend for which Fairfield is known!

No tickets are mailed. You will receive a confirmation of your registration at the email address you provided on the registration form. For security purposes, and to ensure that you receive all of your materials, we require each alumnus/na to pick up their own registration packet and room keys upon arrival. If extenuating circumstances arise, you may call the Office of Alumni Relations at (203) 254-4280 prior to your arrival to arrange a special pickup. Registration Desk hours are listed on the schedule above.

Refunds will be issued only for cancellations made by 5 p.m. EDT on Thursday, June 1, 2023. After this date we will have given counts and guarantees to our vendors and we cannot accommodate refunds.

Modifications to your Reunion registration can be made by calling the Office of Alumni Relations at (203) 254-4280.

COVID-19

Fairfield University strongly encourages all members of the campus community to be vaccinated and boosted, if eligible. For the latest information regarding Fairfield's COVID-19 policies and response, visit the Health Center .

Children

Children and grandchildren are welcome at the Taste of Fairfield and other daytime activities on Saturday. Please be sure to include children’s names in your registration. Children are not permitted at the Friday night receptions or Saturday evening dinner dance. Due to limited space, we are unable to provide overnight on-campus accommodations for children.

Smoking and Drug Policy

As of January 1, 2018, Fairfield University is designated as a smoke-free, tobacco-free environment. The use of tobacco and tobacco products, including cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco, dipping tobacco or snuff, and electronic cigarettes on campus is prohibited. In addition, all illegal substances are prohibited on campus. Anyone found in violation of this policy will be dealt with appropriately by the Department of Public Safety and the Fairfield Police Department.

On-Campus Payment Methods

Walk-in registrations for event tickets and housing (when available) may be paid for via cash or credit card. Drink tickets for the Friday night reception at the DSB, as well as for the Bellarmine Dinner Dance on Saturday, are CASH ONLY. Cash is also recommended for the purchase of additional food vouchers at the Taste of Fairfield, but credit cards may be accepted as well. There is a Bank of America ATM located on the Second Floor of the Barone Campus Center as well as in the Dolan School of Business near Starbucks for your convenience.

Special Needs

Dietary requirements, food allergies, and/or accessible parking or housing for the physically challenged can be arranged with advance notice. Please call us with any special needs at (203) 254-4280.

Event-Specific Questions

The approximately 2.5-mile Fun Run around campus has become a Reunion tradition! Children are welcome to participate if accompanied by an adult. Please note our Fun Run does take place rain or shine.

The RecPlex has limited hours of operation during the summer. During Reunion Weekend, the facility will be open from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Alumni who wish to use the RecPlex facilities during business hours on Reunion Weekend will need to check in at the front desk and sign a waiver. You may download and print it in advance via the link below, or copies will be available on site. If you wish to shower in the facility, please bring your own towels, toiletries, and shower shoes.

A special Reunion Weekend Mass will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. In addition, the weekly Sunday Mass will take place in the Chapel at 11 a.m.

There is no assigned seating for this event. Tables in the tent on Bellarmine Lawn are in sections by class and consist of 10 seats per table.

Friday Night and Saturday Daytime Activities: Casual, weather-appropriate attire (please note, much of Saturday's programming is held outside rain or shine).

Saturday Evening Dinner Dance: Springtime evening cocktail/"summer wedding" attire is recommended. As it can get cool at night, we recommend a jacket, sweater, or wrap and moderate heels or flats that are easy to walk in on grass.

At the Taste of Fairfield, we recommend that you speak with the vendors directly for information regarding their offerings. The dinner on Bellarmine Lawn is served buffet-style and menus indicate items that are vegetarian, gluten-free, etc. Please call the Office of Alumni Relations at (203) 254-4280 for more information and/or indicate your needs on your registration form.

Housing Questions

On-campus housing is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis and is limited by building by class. Please note that due to deadlines for ordering linens and supplies, as well as preparing the rooms, housing reservations will not be accepted after Thursday, June 1 at 5 p.m. EDT, or whenever we reach capacity, whichever comes first. In the event we are able to open up a limited number of rooms after this date, rush charges will be incurred.

Please note, for those staying Friday night only, you must check out of your room/return your key to the Housing Desk in the Kelley Center by 3:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

Due to ongoing housing renovations and pending campus construction, specific residence hall availability is still being determined and is subject to change. Registrants will be assigned to one of two different housing styles, depending on their class year.

Reunion Housing Options, assigned by class:

Classes of 1978, 1983, and 1988, 1993, and 1998: Suite-style residence halls. Suites consist of two bedrooms with two twin beds per room, and a shared bathroom in between the two bedrooms. These residence halls are air conditioned.

Classes of 2003, 2008, 2013, and 2018: Traditional Quad residence halls. These rooms have two twin beds per room with communal bathrooms on each floor. These residence halls are primarily air conditioned and residences with A/C will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis with buildings without A/C being used as overflow housing for later registrants.

Housing is extremely limited and is only available for alumni and guests registered for official Reunion Weekend events. In order to stay in campus housing on Friday night, tickets for either a Friday night reception or the Taste of Fairfield on Saturday must be purchased, and to stay on Saturday night, a ticket to the Dinner Dance must be purchased. Room-only reservations, without the corresponding event tickets, will be cancelled.

Friday housing key pick-up will be in the Aloysius P. Kelley Center from 4 - 10 p.m. Saturday housing key pick-up will be in the Kelley Center from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. and in Bellarmine Hall from 6:30 - 9 p.m.

Yes. You may indicate your roommate request(s) on your registration form. Each roommate must request the other to be placed together. For parties whose roommate requests exceed the accommodations of their rooms (i.e., 3 requests for 2-bed room), we will do our best to house you near each other but this is not a guarantee. Many alumni attend Reunion without a spouse or a guest. Please plan ahead to find a roommate or if necessary, one will be assigned to you. Spots in rooms cannot be held for roommates who have not yet registered. Please note that this also applies to those staying in suite-style rooms (two rooms with a shared bathroom); we cannot hold a side of a suite or guarantee that your requested suitemates will be placed on the other side of your suite if they register at a much later date.

When packing to stay on campus, please remember that campus housing contains only the basics. Lightweight linens, towels, blankets, and pillows will be provided. You may want to bring along hangers, extra pillows and blankets, and extra towels. Fans are also recommended, particularly for those staying in a residence hall that is not air conditioned.
