Students can pair the FinTech minor with any major from any school or college. Whether you study business, analytics, economics, or another field, this minor helps you understand how modern financial systems are evolving. You’ll explore how fintech companies and blockchain technology are disrupting traditional banking and traditional financial services, including credit cards, wealth management, and transferring money through digital payment and mobile payments platforms.

The FinTech minor emphasizes using data to understand financial innovation. Students learn how fintech products and fintech applications are developed and evaluated, with a focus on user experience and financial advice. You’ll examine areas such as peer-to-peer lending and digital payment systems, and how financial institutions use data to make better decisions.
