The Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) has now evolved into the Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Business Analytics (MSAIBA), reflecting years of changes in both the program and in the field. Our MSBA was crafted by a world-class advisory board of business leaders and faculty with years of experience in the field, and this expertise is what led us to make this change, ensuring graduates acquire the career-relevant skills needed to make an immediate impact in this field.

Fairfield Dolan offers Interstride to support both international students and those interested in global careers.

Interstride is a career platform that provides access to job and internship opportunities, visa and immigration resources, and country-specific career insights, helping students navigate the global job market with confidence.

The MSAIBA is built around three stackable four-course certificates: Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence. Each certificate can be earned on its own as a standalone credential. Students who complete all three certificates will have satisfied the requirements for the full MS in AI and Business Analytics degree. This structure lets you build credentials at your own pace and demonstrate specific expertise to employers along the way.

The MSAIBA is the next evolution of our MSBA program. The core curriculum has been updated to integrate AI throughout, with modernized course titles and descriptions, a new required course in AI Ethics and Governance, and deeper focus on generative AI, agentic AI, and machine learning engineering.

Students still develop the same strong foundation in analytics, but now graduate with AI expertise that reflects what employers are looking for today.

Yes. Each of the three certificates, Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence, is a self-contained four-course credential that can be earned independently.

No prior enrollment in the master's program is required.

If you later decide to pursue the full degree, your certificate courses count toward it.

Students work primarily in Python, R, and SQL.

The curriculum also emphasizes AI-assisted coding techniques, so you will learn to work effectively with intelligent code assistants and AI development tools across all of these languages.
