Gain the skills to transform workplaces with Fairfield’s Personnel Psychology Graduate Certificate. Designed for professionals seeking focused expertise, this certificate offers a flexible pathway for advancing your career without the commitment of a full master’s degree. Perfect for HR professionals, managers, talent development practitioners, and anyone interested in enhancing workplace dynamics.

What You'll Learn and Do

Explore the intersection of psychology and HR management.

Are you curious about how psychology can improve workplace success? Personnel Psychology is a specialized field that applies psychological principles to key human resource practices like hiring, training, and performance evaluation. Grounded in evidence-based approaches, this program is perfect for students who want to explore human behavior in professional settings and learn how to enhance organizational effectiveness. If you’re passionate about combining psychology with real-world management strategies, this could be the ideal path for you.

Seamlessly start your master’s degree.

Take highly engaging, interactive courses taught by passionate and knowledgeable scholars and practitioners. This program is suited for working professionals and is suited for human resources and management individuals in for-profit and non-profit organizations, especially those working in human resource management and people analytics. This program consists of two years of learning that can fit into a busy schedule.

Choose a flexible program that accommodates your needs.

The certificate program is delivered in a part-time format to meet the needs of working adults. All courses are held in real time, which allows students to receive real-time feedback and learn from one another.

Clear-cut route to a master’s degree.

Fairfield’s certificates are intentionally crafted to build directly into a master of science in I/O psychology. Students who are pursuing a certificate can, at any time, transition into the master’s program — and they won’t have to repeat any coursework. This allows students to continue to build off what they’ve learned.

MS in Industrial / Organizational Psychology

The certificate may be pursued standalone, or as part of Fairfield’s MS in Industrial / Organizational Psychology, where Fairfield Meditz prepares reflective practitioners through evidence-based practices to support diverse learners, strengthen instruction, and pursue roles in literacy leadership and student support.
