The Media Institute promotes engagement with global media industries by supporting creative media practice, academic scholarship, and public-facing events initiated by the faculty, staff, students, and alumni of the Fairfield University community.
We seek to embolden and support on-campus journalism, storytelling, and production, as well as the critical inquiry and social scientific study of film and television, broadcast communications and digital media within the Meditz College of Arts and Sciences, academic departments and student media organizations.
We fulfill the University's mission by fostering connections beyond Fairfield's campuses, encouraging thoughtful dialogues with media industries, and emphasizing student engagement.

A weekly newspaper reflecting Fairfield culture since 1977, The Mirror aims to project an independent and accurate student perspective with professional journalistic integrity.
