The Austin Campus: Bringing a Fairfield Education to Texas

In 2023, Fairfield University’s Austin Campus opened its doors. A mission-driven institution, Fairfield had long aspired to expand its reach and impact beyond its home campus in Connecticut. Austin, Texas provided the ideal location.

The nationally ranked Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies offers two nursing programs at its Austin Campus as well as several online graduate nursing and public health programs.

In-Person Nursing Programs

The Austin Campus offers two in-person nursing programs: a 15-month Accelerated Second Degree BSN program, and a DNP in Nurse Anesthesia program.

    Accelerated Second Degree Nursing

The 15-month program — offered in Austin, Texas and Fairfield, Conn. — is designed for non-nursing bachelor's degree holders. Previous knowledge serves as a foundation for nursing courses as students gain the skills and experience necessary to make a difference in patients' lives.

    DNP Nurse Anesthesia

Fairfield University's BSN-DNP program for Nurse Anesthesia prepares students as expert clinicians for every stage and setting in which anesthesia is delivered to patients. Students gain hands-on experience in a variety of regional (neuraxial and peripheral block) and general anesthesia techniques under the supervision of certified registered nurse anesthetists and MD faculty.
