The nationally ranked Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies offers two nursing programs at its Austin Campus as well as several online graduate nursing and public health programs.
The Austin Campus offers two in-person nursing programs: a 15-month Accelerated Second Degree BSN program, and a DNP in Nurse Anesthesia program.
The 15-month program — offered in Austin, Texas and Fairfield, Conn. — is designed for non-nursing bachelor's degree holders. Previous knowledge serves as a foundation for nursing courses as students gain the skills and experience necessary to make a difference in patients' lives.
Fairfield University's BSN-DNP program for Nurse Anesthesia prepares students as expert clinicians for every stage and setting in which anesthesia is delivered to patients. Students gain hands-on experience in a variety of regional (neuraxial and peripheral block) and general anesthesia techniques under the supervision of certified registered nurse anesthetists and MD faculty.
The Austin Campus is conveniently located at 7951 Shoal Creek Boulevard in Austin, Texas. Its 23,000 square-foot facility boasts a 21-bed learning laboratory and eight simulation rooms, including a state-of-the-art operating room, for creating fully immersive learning scenarios. The campus’s simulation center is accredited by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.
Fairfield University is a member of the Central Texas Healthcare Partnership, which provides over 18,000 clinical rotations each year for students across Central Texas. Through this partnership and additional affiliations, students will meet their required clinical experience hours.
The Austin Campus has a 100% employment rate within six months of graduation.
In addition to its on-campus degree programs, the Egan School offers online graduate programs in nursing and public health.
Fairfield University's Master of Public Health (MPH) will lead you to one of many careers that are prevention-oriented, multi-disciplinary, and promote conditions to protect and improve the health of people and communities.
