Fairfield University Admission representatives, along with faculty, current students and alumni will welcome area students and their parents to an informational reception on Wednesday, Oct. 11, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Philadelphia Marriott West Hotel on Crawford Avenue in West Conshohocken, Pa.

Debra Johns, assistant director of admissions, explained that the reception offers area residents an opportunity to learn first-hand about Fairfield University, a Jesuit university ranked as one of the top regional universities in the North. Information will be provided about Fairfield's academic programs, which this year produced six Fulbright Scholarship recipients, as well as internships, academic clubs, service opportunities, athletics and other student activities.
