Robert Kirschbaum's etchings, laser prints on view at Fairfield University's Lukacs Gallery

Robert Kirschbaum will exhibit etchings, digital laser prints and related works at Fairfield University's Lukacs Gallery, Loyola Hall, Room 17, from Tuesday, Nov. 14, through Thursday, Dec. 7. The exhibit opens with a reception at 5:30 p.m.; a lecture follows at 6 p.m.

Kirschbaum's works explore signs and symbols relating to Judaic concepts of sacred space, fused with forms and colors inspired by South Asian arts and crafts traditions. He earned his MFA from Yale University School of Art in 1974 and has received numerous grants and honors including a Fulbright Senior Scholar Awards for Research in India and a New York Foundation for the Arts Artists' Fellowship. He teaches at Trinity College in Hartford.

Gallery hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 12:30 to 3 p.m.; Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. For additional information call Frances Hynes, Lukacs Gallery Director at (203) 254-4000, ext. 3418.
