"Director's Cut" is Theatre Fairfield's second production

Fairfield University's student theater, Theatre Fairfield, will showcase its second production of the season, "Director's Cut," twelve short plays to be presented on two days, Saturday, Dec. 2, at 7 and 9 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 3, at 2 and 4 p.m. Performances take place in the university's PepsiCo Studio Theatre on Round Hill Road, Fairfield.

The directors are twelve advanced theater students: Rehan Ansari, Stephanie Arapian, Megan Bell, Patrick Dorion, Kerry Doyle, Lara Eckler, Czar Gil Hizon, Ed Kamens, Amy Mattulina, Marisa Marquez, Kathleen Mooney and Edward Walsh. They have chosen a wide variety of intriguing plays, from the silly to the serious. The plays' topics range from eating disorders; childhood friends; the violent crime of two brothers; the comedy of love, life and relationships; and the banter of three famous authors. All of the plays are under the supervision of Martha S. LoMonaco, Ph.D., director of the university's theater program.

With a full ensemble and technical crew, this production involves more than 50 Fairfield University students. With two separate performances each day, each play will be presented twice during the run. Stay for both performances and see all twelve plays.

Tickets prices are $12, general admission, and $3 for students. They may be purchased by calling the Quick Center Box Office at (203) 254-4010 or toll free at 1-877-ARTS-396. For more information, call Theatre Fairfield at (203) 254-4000, ext. 2274.
