Frank Noelker's photographs on view at Lukacs Gallery

The works of photographer Frank Noelker will be on view at Fairfield University's Lukacs Gallery, Loyola Hall, Room 17, from Tuesday, March 21, through Friday, April 14. The exhibit opens with a reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by a lecture at 6 p.m.

Noelker earned an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and presently teaches at the University of Connecticut at Storrs. His work deals with the strange and awkward beauty of domesticated animals. Many of his prints are toned and coated with beeswax to further emphasize the physicality of the animals and the objectness of the image.

The gallery is open weekday afternoons beginning at 12:30 p.m., and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m. For specific hours, call Frances Hynes, Lukacs Gallery director at (203) 254-4000, ext. 3418.
