Dr. James Mullan discusses "The Irish Voice in American Literature" | Press Releases

James Mullan, Ph.D., director of the Irish Studies Program at Fairfield University, will discuss "The Irish Voice in American Literature," in the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts on Sunday, March 26 at 3 p.m. The event is part of the Quick Center's six-week, multi-event Irish Arts & Letters Festival.

Dr. Mullan has taught at Fairfield University for more than three decades, where he is currently developing an Irish Studies minor which is nearing completion. He holds a B.S. from Manhattan College, an M.A. from the City University of New York and a Ph.D. from Fordham University. Dr. Mullan, a Trumbull resident, wrote his master's thesis on James Joyce and is a Yeats and Irish poetry scholar. A first-generation Irish American, his father was born in Tyrone and his mother's people resided in Cork.
