Starving Artists Gala celebrates the arts at Fairfield University

The Starving Artists Gala, showcasing the talents of Fairfield University students and faculty, will take place on Friday, Feb. 25, at 8 p.m. in the Kelley Theater in the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts.

Featured on the program are the Fairfield University Glee Club, conducted by Carole Ann Maxwell and accompanied by Galen Tate; the Fairfield University Jazz Ensemble, directed by Brian Torff; and vocals by the highly talented faculty guest artist, Betty Jones. The students are represented by the campus's improv comedy troupe, "On the Spot," and a HAM video presentation. Individual students will also perform.

This is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the diverse talents of all those groups and individuals you have been hearing about all in one evening. A reception follows the gala. Tickets are $2, $1 for students, and may be purchased at the door. For more information call Donald Telesca at (203) 256-6728, the box office at (203) 254-4010 or toll-free at 1-877-ARTS-396.
