Earth Week Celebration at Fairfield University

Fairfield University's Student Environmental Association (SEA) will celebrate Earth Day with the following events:

Monday, April 10, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Barone Campus Center:
A display of recycled goods from the Stratford Garbage Museum will show both recycled goods and the items they are made from. SEA t-shirts and candy give-away.

Tuesday, April 11. 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Barone Campus Center:
Students have drawn up a petition for students and faculty to sign about the Superfund site in Fairfield on the Mill River. They plan to send it to local authorities to let them know that, as residents of the town, they are interested in the site being cleaned up as soon as possible.

A "touch tank," on loan from the Maritime Center in Norwalk, will display horseshoe crabs, shellfish, starfish, and other living creatures.

Wednesday, April 12, at 8 p.m. in Canisius 6:
A showing of the film "A Civil Action," starring John Travolta.

Thursday, April 13, at 11 a.m., just outside the Barone Campus Center:
The planting a scarlet oak tree, near the walkway to Canisius to replenish one of those cut down due to all the construction on campus.
