Fairfield University offers Business Leadership Certificate Program

Become a leader and join other professionals at Fairfield University's Business Leadership Certificate Program which meets Jan. 31, 2000 through May 4, on Monday and Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m.

Through interactive seminars, case studies, group discussion and self-evaluation, participants will be encouraged to build a leadership identity reflecting their own strengths. The hands-on skills development program focuses on current leadership practices and uses customized modules, such as, leadership and management, personal leadership styles, effective communication, negotiation, financial issues, ethics, law, technology and global issues.

Offered through the School of Continuing Education, the leadership program uses university faculty, business trainers and business leaders from a variety of industries. The program leader is Bud Titsworth, president of Titsworth & Company, whose clients include AT&T, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Kodak, The Rolling Stones, Xerox and others.

A dynamic lineup of presenters has been announced including: Bill Mitchell, president, Mitchells of Westport; John Thompson, former CEO, IMCOR; Diane Nolan, women's basketball coach at Fairfield University; Sharon Wood Dunn, president, S. Wood Wilson Associates; Geoff Forester, photo editor, "Boston Globe;" Sandy McGinnes, president/CEO, Micromedia; Margaret Sheehan, partner, Durant, Nichols, Houston, Mitchell & Sheehan; Colonel Charles Brower, U.S. Military Academy and Dan Siegel, president/CEO Mica Corp.

This certificate is designed for business owners, new managers, entrepreneurs and those who have a strong interest in pursuing personal leadership development. Tuition is $925 and includes all instruction and materials.
