AHANA students honored

One hundred AHANA (African American, Hispanic, Asian, Native American) students were honored for earning a grade point average of at least a 3.0 during the 1995-96 academic year by the Office of Multicultural Relations. In addition, four AHANA students received plaques during the dinner for achieving the highest grade point averages for their ethnic groups. They included: Heather Clinton, class of '97 (Native American), political science major; Christopher Deis, class of '97 (African American), political science major; Dat Nguyen, class of '97 (Asian), biology major; and Christhy Vidal, class of '97 (Hispanic), political science major. Dr. Debnam Chappell, assistant dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, also was recognized by AHANA students for outstanding contributions to their advancement.
