Fourteen Home Games Highlight 2020 Fairfield Lacrosse Schedules

Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium

The slate includes an April 11 conference doubleheader.

Fairfield University Lacrosse will play a total of 14 regular season games on Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium this season, with the men’s and women’s teams each set for seven home contests. The slates include a Saturday, April 11 doubleheader with Fairfield Women’s Lacrosse hosting Siena at noon followed by Fairfield Men’s Lacrosse challenging Drexel at 3 p.m.

Fairfield Men’s Lacrosse enters a new era in 2020 with the hiring of Andrew Baxter as the fourth head coach in the program’s varsity history. Baxter, most recently the defensive coordinator and associate head coach at perennial national power Yale University, will begin his tenure at home on Saturday, Feb. 15 against Stony Brook.

The men’s home schedule also includes visits from reigning two-time NCAA Division II National Champion Merrimack, in-state foe Quinnipiac, LIU, Providence, and CAA opponents Drexel and UMass. The Stags’ road slate will bring them to opponents including Georgetown, Harvard, and Villanova.

Coming off of a second straight MAAC Championship and NCAA postseason appearance, Fairfield Women’s Lacrosse also rings in its 2020 campaign at Rafferty Stadium when Holy Cross comes to town on Saturday, Feb. 8. The Stags also host Columbia, Boston University, and conference foes Quinnipiac, Niagara, Marist, and Siena this spring. Road outings include visits to Denver, UConn, and a trip across town to Sacred Heart.
