The Alumni Multicultural Scholarship Fund at Fairfield University was established in 1988 and is primarily funded through donations to the annual Fairfield Awards Dinner.

The Fairfield Awards Dinner -- this year on March 28 in New York City -- honors accomplished alumni, faculty, staff, and parents for their professional achievements and volunteer service, while raising funds to help deserving students realize their full potential through a Fairfield education.

The Alumni Multicultural Scholarship Fund provides an important source of support for students from diverse backgrounds.  The event has raised more than $18 million dollars for student scholarships since the dinner’s inception.  It is the largest of nearly 50 endowed scholarship funds at Fairfield that currently support the academic efforts of underserved populations and minority students.
