Special Notice: Fall 2020 & Spring 2021 Programs

Global Fairfield is offering students a variety of international and domestic semester and year-long programs that will compliment and supplement a student's academic journey. Our world is different than it was just a few short months ago, but, please be assured that the health and safety of our students is our priority.

At this time we have plans to offer students the opportunity to study abroad/away during the Fall 2020, January Intersession, and Spring 2021 terms. Global Fairfield is working closely with all our partners and stakeholders to assess the viability of successfully supporting our students at these locations. Applications are currently open for many Spring 2021 programsAll Fairfield University students approved to attend a semester program available through Global Fairfield's Study Abroad have until July 15 to make their final commitment without registration, housing, or financial penalty. So we encourage all students to take this "risk free" step and apply!

We will continue monitoring the progress the world is making and in consultation with our stakeholders, make decisions with our students' health and safety first and foremost. Between now and then, please feel free to submit your concerns so that we can address them as thoroughly as possible. Together we will pull through this difficult time and continue our goal to shape tomorrow’s global leaders.

** If you are a Non-Fairfield student from another University interested in studying abroad at one of our Center Programs for Spring 2021, please email studyabroad@fairfield.edu for more information

Study Abroad With Fairfield University

The study abroad programs at Fairfield can take you many different places on earth, but they’ll all take you beyond your expectations. You’ll be exposed to a wealth of learning opportunities.

Study language in Florence, Italy or Aix-en-Provence, France; business in Brisbane, Australia or Barcelona, Spain; psychology or theater in London, England, or a subject of your choice at one of our many overseas partner universities. And discover what a completely different culture can teach you about your own.

An international experience has become an invaluable part of a undergraduate education, and at Fairfield, students are invited to study abroad at one of our seven dynamic programs abroad:

At these Center locations, students will earn Fairfield University credit in Brisbane or Sydney, Australia; Aix-en-Provence, France; Galway, Ireland; Florence, Italy; Madrid or Barcelona, Spain; and London, England. In addition, summer, January intersession and faculty-led programs are open to students of all levels (first-year to seniors) which also earn Farifield credit. You can always make study abroad work with your schedule.

In addition, Fairfield University partners with a select group of university and provider programs. Open to Fairfield students, these programs were selected for their academic compatibility and geographic locations. Students should research how the credits transfer for these programs.
