This database is an important education and research tool providing a unified database matching historical CRSP U.S. Stock Database with S&P Capital IQ’s Compustat fundamental data. CRSP maps complex relationships over time between CRSP and S&P Capital IQ’s Compustat security permanent identifiers, which offers time-series analysis of companies and securities, regardless of ticker or CUSIP changes. Contributions would help sustain our use of this resource.

The new series of transparent and investable indexes provide the foundation for new areas of research and serve as benchmarks for investment vehicles. Contributions would help sustain our use of this resource.

Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS)

Annual Current Use Need: $35,000

WRDS is the award-winning research platform and business intelligence tool for over 30,000 corporate, academic, government and nonprofit clients at over 375 institutions in 33 countries. It provides users with one location to access over 200 terabytes of data across multiple disciplines. WRDS is essential to enhance the classroom experiences of Finance students at the Dolan School and to support the research efforts of faculty members.

Rotman School of Management Electronic Stock Trading Simulation Software

Annual Current Use Need: $9,000

State-of-the-art network software, now in use in innovative team-taught finance classes, simulates real-time financial events which students react to with trades.
