Individuals who are leaders of business and other organizations are invited to Dolan once or twice a semester to speak to an audience of students and faculty (usually 75-100 attend).
With proper lead time and coordination with classroom professors, guest speakers are most welcome and greatly appreciated in classes for Accounting, Business Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Information Systems, Marketing, Accounting, Real Estate Finance, etc. Topics need to be appropriate to the classroom curriculum and experience.
There are opportunities to speak or engage at Professional Development Series events held throughout the year. The Series is aimed at enhancing the career readiness of our students. Larger audiences for short presentations include Sophomore Symposium II and the DSB Awards Ceremony. Specific events include Mock Interviews, “How to Succeed in Finance” Panel, Corporate Business Breakfast, DSB Junior Career Night and others.
Student Clubs are always interested in alumni business leaders sharing their expertise and providing important insight. Guest speakers are welcome throughout the academic year in clubs for Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Management, Marketing and others.
