The Dolan Career Development Center can assist alumni in their decision-making process as they navigate their professional lives through job or career change.
In addition, alumni can play a significant role in the mentoring and advocacy of current students by helping our students gain industry or company insight through informational interviews, or mentorship.
Recruit a Stag
The Dolan Career Development Center is always looking for new opportunities for our students. Fairfield University uses Stags4Hire powered by Handshake, a job and internship database, to promote opportunities for our students.

Volunteer
Participate in career-related, professional development, and/or networking events.
Club Presentations
With 10+ academic business clubs, our student leaders are interested in connecting with alumni and promoting professional development among their club members.
Lead a Workshop
Host or co-host a workshop on topics such as resume writing, interviewing, networking, etc. Ensure that students stay up-to-date with vital information about the workplace.

Throughout the academic year the Dolan Career Development Center offers multiple opportunities for alumni to share their career story, and offer advice to those who hope to follow in their footsteps. Some of these events include Career Night and Undercover Alumni.
Mock Interviews
The Dolan Career Development Center provides mock interviews for students throughout the year to help hone their interviewing skills.
Resume Reviews
Since a resume is a living document it is always evolving. Throughout the academic year the Dolan Career Development Center invites human resources and recruiting professionals to campus for one-on-one resume reviews.
Dolan Stags in the City
Alumni can host a group of students in their professional work environments in the form of panel discussions or in a tour of the company office, to help students gain occupational knowledge and networking opportunities.
Professional-in-Residence
Candidates for Professional-in-Residence will have demonstrated success in managing and directing business enterprises at the mid-management level and will have a strong interest in mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, advising faculty members on business trends, fostering career and professional development, and supporting the strategic direction of the School. The term is one-year, renewable.
