Admission Profile
The admission process at Fairfield is not a simple review of test scores and grades, but a deliberate consideration of each individual's strengths and prospects for success. Here is a profile of our typical incoming class:
Academic Profile: A- GPA in a strong college preparatory program that includes some Honors, Advanced Placement and/or International Baccalaureate courses.
Standardized Tests: The middle 50% of admitted students scored between 1200-1330 on the SAT, and between 26-30 on the ACT. *
*Admission to Fairfield is test optional - 35% of admitted students did not submit standardized test scores.
Essay: We look for an essay which displays evidence of careful thought and consideration, as well as solid writing skills.
Activities: Successful applicants to Fairfield have made a significant contribution to something outside of the classroom - a club, sport, service activity, part-time job, etc. Many have held leadership roles in these organizations, too.
