Recruiting at Fairfield

On-Campus Recruiting

On-campus recruiting takes place throughout the academic year. Interviews are not scheduled during exams or when school is not in session. The Career Center uses Stags4Hire to coordinate the campus recruiting process. It allows employers to review applicant resumes continuously up to the application deadline and set up the interview schedule.

Employers interested in arranging on-campus interview dates are encouraged to contact Sandra Toth as soon as possible at (203) 254-4000, ext. 2150 or at stoth@fairfield.edu. Interviews are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Employer presentations are typically held at least three weeks before the campus interview date to allow students the opportunity to learn about the organization and the positions they are seeking to fill.
  • Interview preparation sessions are usually scheduled the evening before the recruiting date. These sessions are open to the students who have been selected to interview. Employers contact selected students to invite them.
  • Presentations and information sessions need to be scheduled so room reservations can be made. Since space is limited, reservations are made on a first come, first served basis.
  • The Career Center opens at 8:30 a.m., a half-hour before first interviews. The Career Center's Recruiting Coordinator greets recruiters with the day's schedule(s). Employers are asked to bring copies of the student resumes they have selected for interviewing.
  • Information Packets are presented to employers by the Career Center Recruiting Coordinator. These include student interview feedback forms and a survey about Career Center services.
  • Parking is available in the parking garage adjacent to the Kelley Center building or in the Kelley Center parking lot.

QuadJobs: Employers looking to fill part-time jobs can post to QuadJobs. QuadJobs is an app-based job portal that connects local employers with Fairfield University students. Employers can hire students for part-time and one-time jobs in the communities near campus as well as for jobs that can be done remotely. This service is free for students. Employers can communicate with and pay students directly through the app.  A small service fee will be charged to the employer. Download the app from Google Play or the Apple Store to set up your account profile.

To discuss how Fairfield University students can meet your needs, or if you have questions about posting positions for students/alumni, please contact Deirdre Bennett, Associate Director, Employer Engagement, or Sandra Toth, Recruitment Coordinator.
