About

The Student Leadership Conference is an exciting time for student leaders to attain the knowledge, skills, and resources to be effective change agents for the upcoming year, while cultivating a sense of community among the many different groups and positions represented. This year's theme is Heroic Leadership, highlighting each of the four pillars of leadership.

This theme of Heroic Leadership describes the Jesuit leadership style composed of four key principles: Self-Awareness, Ingenuity, Love, and Heroism. These four pillars of leadership embody what it means to be a true leader. In his book, Heroic Leadership: Best Practices from a 450-Year-Old Company that Changed the World, author Chris Lowney describes how each principle plays a key part in Heroic Leadership, emphasizing the importance of knowing one's values and one's self, how to confidently adapt in an ever-changing world, how to engage others in reaching their own potential, and energizing oneself and one's community with a passion for excellence.

To gain a deeper understanding of Heroic Leadership, we encourage you to review the following document: Heroic Leadership
