1.  Take a Winter Walk and Get Your Sweat On
Many of us have been spending extra time in the “self-care” department amidst stay at home orders throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. Whether you step out to explore campus for a change of scenery, or start a weekly fitness challenge to compare mileage with friends, getting some extra steps in your day can shift your mood and give you an extra energy boost!
Prefer an indoor workout? The University RecPlex will be open post-quarantine period, and is even offering group classes through Zoom.
2.  Enjoy a Meal with Friends
Current dining options allow students to dine and interact in a safe environment. Grab a meal in the Tully, Oak Room, Dogwood Room, Faber Hall, or Conference Center and sit at one of our social-distanced tables for four. For students who prefer to eat from the comfort of their own residence halls, online app/kiosk ordering options through the Stag, Dunkin’ Donuts, food trucks at Alumni Hall are also available.
Craving something specific from somewhere in town? Bring all of your favorite tastes of Fairfield right to your residence hall and get your meals delivered to you!
3.  Collaborate Online and Find Your Niche
It’s no secret that our Stags our taking TikTok by storm and creating content day and night. Grab a friend or two and learn a new trend to put your creative spin on it. Creating Stag-centric content? Tag @fairfieldu for a chance to be featured on the University channel.
If gaming is more your speed, you might choose to meet others through the University’s e-gaming club. If you have other interests that excite you, you’re invited to explore opportunities that align with your passions and hobbies with over 100 student-lead clubs and organizations.
4.  Have a Fun Night Indoors
Looking to put your own spin on a night in with friends? Movie, game, or self-care spa nights are just a few of the fun activities you can host in your room. Remember, due to restrictions put in place by Covid-19, social gatherings in University housing are limited to the number of individuals assigned to the residence plus two guests who also live in University housing.
5.  Connect Through FUSA or IRHA Events and Activities
Both the Fairfield University Student Association and Inter-Residential Housing Association are offering bingo, grab-and-go projects, and a plethora of virtual events for students all semester long. Be sure to check-in to life@fairfield for more information about weekly engagement opportunities.
