Gain a competitive edge in the marketplace while learning essential manners and social skills for your next business meal.
I have attended the dinner twice and cannot stress enough the usefulness of the information given at the dinner.
— Dominique Sepe ’18
The Dolan School of Business will host its annual Etiquette Dinner on Thursday, April 5, from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. in Faber Hall. Featuring a professional etiquette expert, the event is designed to help students gain a competitive edge in the marketplace by explaining how to avoid common etiquette pitfalls.
With the goal of helping students feel more comfortable in business interactions and at the dining table, the event will cover topics such as what to order at a restaurant and how to converse over a three-course meal. This event is open to all students, and Dolan School juniors and seniors are highly encouraged to attend.
Dominique Sepe ’18 who attended the Etiquette Dinner last year, said, “Attending the Etiquette Dinner has given me the knowledge and confidence to approach various business settings. I have attended the dinner twice and cannot stress enough the usefulness of the information given at the dinner.”
Space is limited and students are encouraged to reserve their seat on OrgSync. The cost to attend the event is $10 and features a three-course meal. Business casual attire is suggested.
As Trenton Moore ’19 , explained, “The etiquette dinner not only gave me new confidence in a business dinner environment, but the knowledge I gained has helped me stand out from other peers as well. I have participated in a few business luncheons and dinners in which the knowledge I gained helped me greatly.”
As part of the Dolan School’s Professional Development Series (PDS), this event satisfies a PDS level four requirement.
