Student Phonathon: Join in the Conversation!
The Student Phonathon is underway—please pick up the phone when we call!
Not only is the Phonathon one of the most effective ways we raise funds for Fairfield, it’s also a great opportunity to have a conversation with our students.
Every evening for the next several weeks, 31 dedicated Fairfield students are on the phones, reaching out to alumni and parents. These students span all class years, majors, interests and ambitions, but they share one thing in common: They are all loving their Fairfield experience! (Pictured at right: Marie Atwill ’15, James Law ’15, and Megan Forbes ’14.)
They’re calling to promote and enlist your support of The Fairfield Fund—a revenue source that directly impacts the opportunities they can access and, for many, provides the financial assistance they need to attend Fairfield University. But they’re also calling because they are truly interested in hearing about your Fairfield experience. They want to know how Fairfield has shaped you—or your son or daughter—and hear what advice you might have for them as they try to take full advantage of their time here.
Many of these students care so much about the growth and advancement of the University that they also volunteer on the Stags Give Back Committee and the Student Alumni Association. Both of these student-run organizations promote the importance of giving back to Fairfield and staying involved even after graduation. This year, the Stags Give Back Committee’s senior class gift will support a scholarship fund and the Revolving Green Fund for sustainable campus projects.
When they call, please join in the conversation. Show your Stag Pride, and talk with the Phonathon students to find out how you, like the senior class, can give back to Fairfield in a way that is meaningful for you.
