Behavioral Interviewing Professional Workshop- March 25

The Graduate School of Education and Allied Professions (GSEAP) presents a workshop series free and open to the public, hosted by Paul Maloney, PhD, professor of the practice in industrial and organizational psychology. The final installment of the workshop series focuses on Behavioral Interviewing and will take place on Saturday, March 25, 2017.

Using behavioral models, cases and role plays, participants will be able to:

  • Identify typical costs and common mistakes in interviewing.
  • Plan the interview using the required position requirements.
  • Interview using structured interview plan.
  • Use a variety of specific, legal, and targeted questions.
  • Evaluate candidate information using triangulation.

Maloney’s extensive corporate experience spans over 30 years in change management, communications, executive feedback and coaching and presentation skills. His career includes a long line of senior management and development positions at NBC, Mobil Oil Corporation and PepsiCo International. Maloney has been a consultant for American Airlines, Covidien, GE, Schering-Plough and Kodak, among many national and multi-national corporations.

Past participants of Maloney’s workshops say that his knowledge and expertise made for highly informational workshops.

An Organizational Development and Training Specialist who attended said, “Dr. Maloney energetically engages you, boiling a semester’s worth of content into a single day’s seminar that will not only challenge, but provide you with actionable skills you can continue to develop the very next day. I can’t think of a more productive way to spend a day than at one of Dr. Maloney’s sessions.”
