About the Panelists:
Kevin A. Barr, P’16, Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Terex Corporation
Kevin has over 30 years of global HR leadership experiences in financial services, information services, consumer products, and industrial manufacturing. During his tenure at Terex, a Fortune 250 Lifting and Material Handling Solutions company, the workforce has expanded from 6,000 team members to more than 24,000, with locations in over 40 countries.
Prior to joining Terex, Kevin was chief human resources officer at Database Technologies; vice president of human resources Asia/Pacific at Nabisco. He held senior human resource executive positions at Dun and Bradstreet Corporation and JP Morgan Chase. He received a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations in 1981.
His son Conor is currently a sophomore at Fairfield University.
Kelly Fitzgerald Lackner ’97, Vice President, Talent Development, XL Group
Kelly has over 16 years of talent management and leadership development experience, with a focus on optimizing an organization's talent. She is currently the vice president of talent development for the XL Group, where she has global responsibility for talent strategy, succession planning, and employee engagement.
Previously, Kelly was a senior consultant at Right Management, where she was a member of the talent management leadership team, head of the financial services vertical, and responsible for leading projects with Right’s anchor financial services clients. She was also a change management consultant at Accenture, and has worked with Bridge Consulting, a boutique consultancy specializing in employee engagement and communication. Kelly received her bachelor’s degree in communication from Fairfield, and her master’s in organizational psychology from Columbia University.
Lisa A. Mainiero, Ph.D., Author, Lecturer, Professor of Management, Charles F. Dolan School of Business, Fairfield University
Lisa is a frequent lecturer and expert source on the topics of kaleidoscope careers, executive women careers, and office romance. She is the author of four books, including: The Opt-Out Revolt: Why People Are Leaving Companies to Create Kaleidoscope Careers and Office Romance.
She has been a guest on television shows such as Oprah, ABC's Good Morning America, CNN's Newsnight with Aaron Brown, and FOX's Neal Cavuto, as well as a frequent commentator in The New York Times, USA Today, and numerous other publications. Lisa earned her bachelor’s degree at Smith College, and her master’s and doctorate degrees at Yale University.
Lisa is a beloved professor at Fairfield University, teaching courses on leadership, management, and career planning in both the undergraduate and MBA programs.
Margaret Osora ’84, Strategic Human Resources Consultant, Healthcare Industry
Margaret is a strategic human resources consultant focusing on healthcare and financial industries. She started her career at Travelers Insurance Corporation as an asset management marketing analyst, later completing the first-ever Travelers Human Resources Leadership Program. Margaret also worked for Bayer Healthcare as a global HR manager supporting several growth initiatives, restructures, and acquisitions.
Prior to her current role, she was with Covidien, a medical devices and supplies company, as an HR director. Margaret has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Fairfield, an MBA in finance from The University of Connecticut, and is a certified compensation professional.
